NT barramundi prospects improve

If you designed an irritating wet season for NT barramundi fishos, you would have it remain dry until Easter, and then it pours down just as everyone heads off for their long weekend fishing trips.
And that’s what happened in 2013.
As I write this, a low is slowly spinning over the Darwin area, and it looks like the catchments are filling.
The Katherine River is high, which will feed the Daly.
Better late than never!
Even a late flood is better than no flood, as it assist with creating a greenwater season for trollers on the big rivers, as floodwater runs clearer than turbid tidal water.
Here’s a couple of snaps from the BOM site. I reckon there will be some more red dots (100mm+) tomorrow.

FISH FINDER 10 – The Barra Bible

The 10th FISH FINDER edition of this biennial book was released on March 1. This monster 412-pager is the undisputed northern fishing bible, just ask any Darwin tackle shop.
It covers northern WA, NT, Qld, and even NSW, but is primarily about the remote, wild north.
